Your body is a powerful thing, and as you grow and mature you’ll find that certain sensations please and others cause pain.  Sometimes those sensations get mixed up especially as hormones are raging throughout puberty.  Pain games can seem fun, but there’s a point where some people try self medicating stress and worry with intentionally hurting themselves.  This can really cause confusion and shame.

Self-harm is a concern in youth populations. Cutting, biting, burning, or scratching skin can be forms of non-suicidal self-injury. For most people, self-harm is a once-and-done experimentation. But for some people, it becomes part of a routine for emotional coping that needs treatment by therapeutic professionals.
